Ordering food at home has become a very common practice, it has been done for many years, however, applications and companies that facilitate this method of ordering food have been accentuated in recent years, as is the case of Glovo, Uber Eats or Deliveroo.

Thanks to these applications, people can have their favourite food delivered quickly to their homes. Most apps and sites allow you to search by price, time, type of food, diet and available establishments according to the address and time. Once the order is validated and paid by card, the restaurant prepares it and a delivery person picks it up. On average, delivery times is estimated to be from 20 to 40 minutes. We have a few recommendations and tips to bear in mind when travelling across Spain. First of all, you should avoid travelling in the high season, during that time you will have to pay higher prices and a lot of tourists. Additionally, opt for travelling by bus. In which case, we recommend you look at Avanza Bus, Inter Bus, Hife and Socibus. You will notice that with any of these companies, prices vary a lot depending on how far in advance you book your ticket and the day of the trip. Mondays and Thursdays have cheaper fares compared to weekends.

You can also opt to travel through the Blabla Car application, which is even cheaper than taking the train or the bus. This application is a ride-sharing website, as fuel costs are high, and progressively getting higher. The way it works is that the drivers post the route they will be taking and the cost of the journey. From there passengers will simply have to choose which route matches yours and message the drivers.

You may also be interesting in opting for CouchSurfing. CouchSurfing is a hospitality network where locals host travellers in their homes because they are interested in getting to know them, and there is no cost involved. This way, travellers are able to avoid any hotel or hostel cost, and really be submerged in the Spanish culture

Additionally, when eating out, we suggest you order the menu of the day, which is usually between €8 and €12. You will have a generous three course meal for a very reasonable price!

Lastly, we recommend you download the applications Sandemans or Free Tour. These companies offer free tours in Spain's major cities. Additionally, you may also visit some of Spain's most renowned museum for free, all you have to do is find out which day of the week their entrance is free. We advise you check the website of the museum you want to visit to find out if there are any free days.
